COSS OLP/CRP Recertification
Introduction
Following the 2 year validity of the competency nearing expiration, or just past it (no more than 8 weeks), a candidate can attend the recertification course.
Course Information
Course Length: 4 days
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the course, the candidates will be refreshed enough to be able to interpret correctly the relevant parts of the Rule Book and Handbooks and also Key Point Cards. They will understand the relevant aspects of the Sentinel Scheme appertaining to COSS certificate holders.
They will be able to demonstrate their understanding and ability to set up, maintain and follow a safe system of work for their group and themselves.
Course content:
- Introduction and the need for recertification
- Course workbook for PTS*
- Course workbook for COSS
- Course workbook reviews and appropriate training
- Revision
- COSS theory and practical assessments
- Feedback
Upon successful completion the candidate can have their Sentinel Card updated with their renewed competency.
*NOTE: If DCCR Recertification is also required then the duration increases to 5 days
